The 2017 Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo (hereinafter referred to as “MSR Expo”) was successfully held in Dongguan City on Sept. 21-24, 2017. The themed forum was conducted in Guangzhou City on Sept. 22. The event receives distinguished guests from 79 countries and regions, as well as 1,682 exhibitors from 56 countries and regions. Total attendance of the four-day-event is 251,000 (including buyers and visitors), an increase of 5.5% year on year. This includes 31,000 visits by professional buyers, an increase of 10.7% year on year. As many as 758 cooperation projects have been facilitated during the event, which involves a total contract value of 219 billion RMB, up by 5.9% year on year.
